It used to be VoIP versus traditional phone service. Now it’s VoIP versus Hosted VoIP. As the market for VoIP expands, traditional on premise VoIP vendors are increasingly finding Hosted VoIP challenging their dominance.

According to a new report from ABI Research, unified communications (UC) is expected to be a $4.8 billion market opportunity by 2015. As this growth continues though, Hosted IP PBX providers will be eating up a bigger part of the pie.
