Cloud service provider j2 Global Communications (Nasdaq: JCOM) has acquired Zimo Communications, the provider of Numberstore cloud voice services. Terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed, and the financial impact to Los Angeles-based j2 Global is not expected to be material.
The deal is the third thus far in 2012, and will bring the company additional voice customers in the United Kingdom, where Zimo is based.
“We will now work to migrate these customers onto our existing platforms, providing uninterrupted service while adding features and leveraging the Numberstore momentum,” said Hemi Zucker, CEO of j2 Global.
The company earlier this month acquired Landslide Technologies, a Boston-based provider of online customer relationship management solutions designed for small to mid-sized businesses. In January, j2 Global announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Offsite Backup Solutions, a Phoenix-based provider of online backup solutions.
J2 Global this week reported fourth quarter earnings that saw significant growth in revenue and earnings, meeting analysts’ expectations of 64 cents EPS, and reporting revenue of $86 million, up from $71 million a year ago and just off expectations of $86.5 million.
J2 Global’s network spans 49 countries on six continents and includes Internet fax, virtual phone, hosted email, email marketing, online backup, unified communications and customer relationship management solutions.
